Returns & Refunds Policy

This Returns & Refunds Policy applies to purchases made from Quiet Yard Ltd, trading as Card & Loot.

Card & Loot specialises in sealed collectible products, including but not limited to Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), One Piece TCG, LEGO, and mystery box items. Due to the nature of collectible and blind-box products, our returns policy differs from standard retail items. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.


🎁 Mystery Boxes (Bronze, Silver & Gold)

All mystery box sales are final.

Due to the randomised, blind-box nature of mystery products, we do not offer returns or refunds for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Personal preference

  • Disliking the contents

  • Duplicate items or cards

  • Pull results or perceived value

Once a mystery box has been opened, it cannot be returned or refunded.

This is standard practice for mystery and blind-box products and does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty or not as described.


🎴 Trading Card Game (TCG) Products

This section applies to all Trading Card Game products sold by Card & Loot, including but not limited to:

  • Pokémon TCG

  • One Piece TCG

  • Booster packs

  • Elite Trainer Boxes (ETBs)

  • Booster boxes

  • Collection boxes, tins, and bundles

All TCG product sales are final.

Due to the nature of trading card products and the risk of pack searching, tampering, or resealing, we do not accept returns or refunds on TCG products once they have been delivered, including unopened items.

Returns will not be accepted for:

  • Change of mind

  • Dissatisfaction with pull results

  • Duplicate cards

  • Perceived value of contents

  • Sealed items that have been opened or unsealed

This policy is standard within the trading card industry and is designed to protect both collectors and retailers from product tampering.

This does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described.


📦 Non-TCG Sealed Collectible Products

This section applies to non-TCG products sold by Card & Loot, such as:

  • LEGO sets

  • Other sealed collectible items

Unopened Items – Change of Mind Returns

In line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you may cancel your order within 14 days of delivery provided that:

  • The item remains completely unopened

  • All factory seals are intact and untampered

  • The item is returned in original, resalable condition

To request a return, you must contact us within 14 days of delivery.

Return postage costs for unwanted or change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the customer.
We do not reimburse return shipping costs for unwanted items.

We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the returned item:

  • Has been opened or unsealed

  • Shows signs of tampering or resealing

  • Is damaged after delivery

  • Is not in its original condition

Opened Items – Final Sale

Once a sealed collectible product has been opened, unsealed, or tampered with, all sales are final.

Opened items cannot be returned or refunded due to:

  • Risk of tampering

  • Loss of collectible and resale value

  • Industry-standard practices for sealed collectibles


❌ Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns or refunds for:

  • Mystery boxes (opened or unopened)

  • All Trading Card Game (TCG) products once delivered

  • Opened or unsealed collectible products

  • Products with broken, removed, or tampered seals

  • Dissatisfaction with card pulls, contents, or perceived value

  • Products damaged after delivery due to customer handling


✅ Damaged, Faulty, Incorrect or Missing Items

We will always put things right if:

  • You receive the wrong item

  • An item is missing from your order

  • Your order arrives damaged

  • There is a packing error

  • An item is faulty or not as described

Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photos of the outer packaging, item, and any seals

If the claim is verified, we will offer a replacement or refund where appropriate.

Claims submitted outside this timeframe or without sufficient evidence may not be accepted.


📸 Condition Verification & Anti-Tampering Measures

To protect customers and our business from fraud:

  • Orders may be photographed and/or video recorded prior to dispatch

  • Packaging condition, seals, and contents may be documented

Claims relating to damage, tampering, or incorrect items must be supported by clear photographic evidence.

We reserve the right to reject claims where:

  • Evidence is insufficient

  • The product shows signs of opening or resealing

  • The claim is inconsistent with dispatch records


🎴 Authenticity & Condition

All products sold by Card & Loot are:

  • 100% authentic

  • Factory sealed where stated

  • Carefully packed prior to dispatch

Minor cosmetic wear to outer packaging caused during transit does not qualify as a fault if the contents and seals remain intact.


💳 Disputes, Chargebacks & Payment Provider Claims

By completing a purchase with Card & Loot, you acknowledge that:

  • Trading Card Game products are non-returnable once delivered

  • Dissatisfaction with pull results, contents, or perceived value does not qualify for a refund

If a dispute or chargeback is raised with PayPal, Shopify, a card issuer, or another payment provider, this policy will be submitted as evidence that:

  • The non-returnable nature of TCG products was clearly disclosed prior to purchase

  • The item supplied matched the product description

  • The claim does not relate to a fault, damage, or misdescription


⚖️ UK Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

If an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a refund or replacement in accordance with UK law.
